Full commentary

A chase for the ages and after two games, here comes a side that wins chasing. A win that for the most part of it seemed improbable. But, that's what WPL is all about. Stunning effort from Harris. That's it from us. Thank You for tuning in. But the caravan rolls on and we will be nice and early for match four on Monday where Mumbai Indians will take on Royal Challengers Bangalore. Till then, this is Ashish Pant signing off on behalf of Ranjith and Vairavan. Ciao!

Kapil Baldawa: "Grace Harris. Take a bow. Have read a lot about her in WBBL. Have seen it live today and boy, she packs a punch. WIPL has a fan forever. That was some fierce hitting and finish. Much needed close game finally"

Grace Harris is the Player of the Match: I started poorly and I thought I was fluffing around. You need to get the conditions of the wicket and I was thankful that Sophie also motored along. Great feeling to finish over the line. I knew what I wanted to do. I was getting antsy when there were so many breaks in the DRS. I was able to compose myself, but I was psyched to get the batting and score. I love batting with freedom. The coach is supportive and tells me to be free. [On Ecclestone] She is a clean striker, and that is a part of how well I played at the end. When Sophie got a couple away, I just ran hard. It was good. [On DRS] There was a little bit of confusion when the umpire said the DRS was down. But no hassle, good fun. Drinks and burgers at the end of the day.

Alyssa Healy, the Warriorz captain: Full credit to Grace and our lower order in particular. Grace is Grace, that's the only way to describe her. She has shown the world what she can do. [On Navgire] Kiran was sensational. She ended up taking the opportunity and making a fifty. It's not about the internationals but also the Indians. Sophie and Deepti were sensational and hopefully, we can tidy things up in the next match. [On Sehrawat] Shweta's first experience but we might have to call a bit loudly. We are going to celebrate, and on we go for Delhi.

Shreyas HM: "What is it about yellow teams and last over finishes?!"

Sampath informs that, 19 runs by UP Warriorz is the second most runs successfully chased in the 20th over in major women's T20 leagues. Highest is 23 runs in a Stars vs Renegades game in 2022-23 WBBL. Sutherland was the batter in that game, hitting three sixes.

Sophie Ecclestone: [On Grace Harris] She is amazing for the squad and was amazing for us today. She knew what she had to do from ball one. [On Laura Harris, Grace's sister] I know, it is quite scary. Hopefully, Grace can give us some tips. [On UP Warriorz] The team is amazing. We have got such good characters around the squad. It is just great to get out and this win is going to bring us close together.

Sneh Rana, the Giants captain: Disappointed with the loss but proud of how the girls fought after the match last evening. Kim's last over, a lot of boundaries came in that and we lost our way. The girls played a fantastic knock. I am proud of the girls but disappointed with the result. I enjoyed my leadership. I enjoy being the leader. The responsibility comes on your shoulders. You have the time to show your leadership. The girls fought very hard. Whenever the team needs me, I will do my best. [Dew] The dew plays a major role when we bowled second. But that's how it is.

10.58pm Wow, I need to catch my breath after this onslaught. Warriorz were gone, nowhere in the chase, but Grace and Ecclestone have pulled a rabbit out of the hat. They needed 63 runs to win off 24 balls at one stage, and somehow the two got the side home with a ball to spare. Garth picked up five wickets but it was her final over that made the difference. She was spanked for 20 runs in the 18th over. The 19th over then went for 14 before Annabel Sutherland was smoked for 24 in the final, with Warriorz needing 19. One of the most amazing finishes you will ever witness in any game of cricket. And don't forget Kiran Navgire's performance, who smashed 53 off 43 balls. This will be a hard loss for Giants to take.

Sutherland to Harris, SIX runs

GRACE HARRIS, YOU ABSOLUTE STAR! Sutherland cracks under pressure and Warriorz have pulled a win out of nowhere! Low full toss on the pads of Harris and she has hacked it over deep backward square leg for a maximum. Harris and Ecclestone added 70* off 26 balls to take Warriorz home!

Sutherland to Harris, FOUR runs

Four! Four! Deep cover as made an absolute meal of it. Fifty for Harris off 25 balls. On a length outside off, she lifts it over covers. The fielder runs in from deep cover, and over-runs it. The ball goes to the fence. Harris is elated and why not

Sutherland to Harris, 1 wide

Back of a length ball outside off, she shapes up for the cut, misses. Again, so close to the tramline. Not given a wide. And this time, Harris has asked for a DRS for a wide. Healy, from the dugout shouts, 'calm down'. Lots of time being taken out of the game, whichever way you look at this. No edge, awfully close to that tramline and the on-field umpire's decision is overturned. Ooh, the Giants fielders are livid

Sutherland to Harris, FOUR runs

Oh, my word! Harris has turned the game on its head. Right out of the meat of the bat as Harris lifts the length ball straight back past the bowler.

Sutherland to Harris, 2 runs

Low full toss on off, she clips it to the right of deep midwicket, who puts in a dive to her left and makes a stunning save. There is a chance for a run out but Sutherland can't collect the ball. Oh, that was such an easy run out. Ecclestone dropped her bat running back for the second run and was nowhere in the frame. But pressure got the better of Sutherland.

Sutherland to Harris, 1 wide

Fuller and wide, and called a wide. Oh, that's so close. Will Giants review this? Oh, have they forgotten about it? They take the review now. Haven't 15 seconds already gone? Lots of confusion. Ecclestone and Harris are having a conversation with the two umpires. Coming to the wide. This is very close to the tramline outside off. The decision is upheld. It is a wide.

What's the hold up shouts Harris. Giants slowing it down. Mind games in play

Vinod Rajpal: "Gut feeling, we will witness first Super Over in Womens IPL tonight, what say Ashish ?"

Sutherland to Harris, SIX runs

Pulled away over deep midwicket! What a start to the over. Harris is puling out a masterclass. Short ball that sits up to be hit, and Harris hits it alright.

Right, then. 19 to win off the last over. Sutherland to bowl.

And Gardner's experience comes into play. Low full toss on off that cab only be worked away to deep midwicket. Harris retains strike.

A six will make things so interesting

Gardner to Ecclestone, 1 run

Low full toss on middle and leg that can only be lifted to long on

Hammers the length ball back over Gardner's head, and once again the fielder at long off does so well. They take two nevertheless

Oh, that is hammered over deep square leg. This is game on! Make no mistake. Flatter on the pads of Ecclestone who has muscled it over deep square leg.

Low full toss that is drilled down the ground and Sutherland at long on does so well sprinting to her left. Dives, keeps the ball into play and laps it to keep it into the field of play

Garth to Harris, (no ball) 1 run

Oh, shoulder-high no-ball that is caught on the deep square leg fence. Obviously won't be counted. She did really well to hammer that away and the fielder on the boundary line also caught it well. Garth with five wickets in her kitty is under pressure here

Garth to Harris, FOUR runs

The deft touch on show now. On a length on middle stump, she gets across and laps it past the keeper.

Garth to Harris, FOUR runs

Straight back at Garth, through the hands and the ball races to the fence. Technically a dropped catch, but that was wacked hard by Harris. Length on off, clears her front leg and hammers it

Garth to Harris, FOUR runs

Slower short of a length ball and there is enough width for Harris to cut it powerfully past extra cover.

Garth to Ecclestone, 1 run

Length ball outside off, she looks for a cross-batted heave and gets a thick inside edge back onto her pads. They take a run

Length on off, she has a swing at it and sends it in the gap between deep midwicket and long on.

Garth back for her last over
