Some impressive performances for the Second XI in 2012 led to a senior competitive debut in a CB40 match against Gloucestershire.
His brightest moment came as the 2013 season ended: an excellent 82 from a total of 184 against Hampshire as Leicestershire, agreeing a double forfeit in a desperate attempt to break their Championship duck, instead collapsed and lost the match.
