Jenny Halstead, the England development squad captain in 2007, has been a Cheshire player since 2002. She has played in the European Cup every year since 2005, and for England A for the past two years. She is a hard-hitting top-order left-hander, who bowls medium pace right-handed and an excellent fielder to boot.
She played for Poynton 1sts in 2005, but hasn't been able to play for them in 2007 - because she's on the MCC Young Cricketers' scheme. Her Super 4s team is Rubies. She has played football at county level and was in Stockport County's Centre of Excellence for four years. Currently studying to be a PE teacher at St Mary's College in Twickenham, and is due to graduate in 2009.
