Williams out of Pura Cup clash

Western Warriors fast bowler Brad Williams will have to wait to return to the WA line-up after failing to pass a fitness test at Adelaide Oval this morning.

Williams was in a race against the clock to recover from a groin injury in time for the Pura Cup clash with the Southern Redbacks, starting in Adelaide tomorrow, Thursday, 26 October, 2000.

Gavin Swan, who travelled to Adelaide on standby for Williams, is in the final WA 12 with a decision on 12th man to be made before the start of play tomorrow.

Williams will return home with a view to playing round three of the SunSmart League with Scarborough this weekend.
