Northants award Hussey county cap

Mike Hussey, Northamptonshire's overseas player, has been awarded his county cap.

The presentation took place before the start of the Norwich Union League game against Yorkshire Phoenix at Wantage Road.

Hussey, 26, has scored 855 first-class runs in his first nine matches for the County - including centuries in successive games against Glamorgan and Yorkshire - and won two Benson and Hedges Cup Gold Awards in the group stages of the competition.

The Western Australia opener was signed by Northamptonshire last winter as a replacement for his compatriot, Test opener Matthew Hayden.
