Australian One Day International spinner Nathan Hauritz is set to play his first match in more than a month following his selection today for the XXXX Queensland Bulls' ING Cup match against Tasmania at the Gabba on Sunday.
Hauritz returns from Sharjah tomorrow where he was 12th man for the final two Tests of Australia's 3-0 series victory against Pakistan and is keen to play on Sunday after playing just one match on tour.
Hauritz took 3-39 against Kenya during the one-day series in Kenya but then had to bide his time during Australia's ICC Champions Trophy campaign in Sri Lanka and the Test series in Sri Lanka and Sharjah.
Hauritz comes into the Bulls team for pace bowler Damien MacKenzie in the only change to the side that defeated NSW by 46 runs at the Gabba last weekend.
Australian players Andy Bichel and Matthew Hayden were not selected for Queensland in the wake of the gruelling conditions they experienced while playing in the two Shajah Tests.
Bichel's wife Dionn is expecting their second child today while Hayden will have time off before beginning preparations for the First Ashes Test against England at the Gabba from November 7-11
Tasmania have been in camp this week on the Sunshine Coast to prepare for the match and have named a 13-man squad for their opening ING Cup match of the season.
NOTE: Due to daylight savings, Sunday's match will commence at 9am. The game will be televised by Channel Nine.
