Canada to host MCC in 2005

Calvin Clarke, the Canadian Cricket Association's secretary, has announced that the itinerary for 2005 was close to completion and would include hosting a two-week MCC tour during which the full side would play a three-day and one-day games.
The MCC tour takes place between September 17 and 30 2005, and the one-dayer will be at Toronto on September 22, with a three-day match against the full Canadian side starting at the same venue the next day.
The CCA also confirmed a provisional schedule of 50-over games in England ahead of next year's ICC trophy in Ireland. On June 22 and 24, Canada will play Somerset at Taunton, with a visit to Bristol to meet Gloucestershire in between. The mini-tour concludes with a game against Seaton CC on June 26.
Clarke added that Canada had again been drawn against Bermuda and USA in the Intercontinental Cup.
