The Auckland cricket selectors have named a 17-man State Shield squad for this season's State Auckland Aces domestic campaign.

The first match against the State Northern Knights is at the Eden Park Outer Oval on Saturday, December 28, 2002, starting at 12 noon.

The XII to play this match will be named after the Black Caps one-day side to face India on Boxing Day has been chosen by the New Zealand selection panel.
