CricInfo signs major deal with bet365
New betting partner for world's leading cricket site
15 Jan 2002

CricInfo.com, the world's leading cricket site, has teamed up with betting specialist bet365 to provide its users with a comprehensive global betting service.

The deal, which starts immediately, was negotiated by Director of Sales Alex Chamberlen who leads CricInfo's in-house sales team.

The agreement includes banner and newsletter advertising, as well as a number of new tailored promotional initiatives, including CricInfo's first-ever dedicated betting and gaming page.

bet365 will be offering their comprehensive range of bets, starting with the VB Triangular Series between World Champions Australia, South Africa and New Zealand. In-game betting will be available, with the bet365 team working through the night to update the odds throughout the series.

Director of Sales Alex Chamberlen commented "Betting is a major revenue stream for us, and we were impressed with bet365's range of bets and, in particular, their commitment to cricket. Their traders will be working around the clock to provide in-running bets during the VB Series in Australia, for example, and I have no doubt that that level of service will be a winner with our users."

John Coates, Director of the Bet365 Group Limited said "CricInfo's global dominance of the online cricket market and an audience that is bigger than almost all the multi-sports sites makes them a sought after partner for any betting concern. We are delighted to be working with them, and hope to deliver a great service to their many users."
