CRICINFO TRAFFIC BREAKS MORE RECORDS
7 March 2001

CricInfo.com, the world's most popular cricket web site set two new records last week: more than 45 million page impressions registered between Monday 26th February and Sunday 4th March making it the busiest week for the site; 16.9 million page impressions were recorded on Wednesday 28th February, beating the previous record single day of 11.7 million from October last year.

The week featured the first Test Match between India and Australia, a One-Day International between Pakistan and New Zealand and the closing stages of England's First Test in Sri Lanka.

CricInfo's Managing Editor Stephen Lamb said: "It's an extremely busy time of year for international cricket at the moment, so it's not surprising that the game is being followed so closely by our users. It's highly likely that the traffic will keep rising this month, with four Test Matches starting over a five day period this week, beginning with England against Sri Lanka on 7th March."
