CRICINFO ENDS 2000 ON A RECORD HIGH
World's most popular cricket site continues to break records
1 February 2001

CricInfo.com, the world's leading cricket web site, registered more than 810 million page impressions during 2000, surpassing its previous record total of 577 million. December 2000 also proved to be the record month for the web site with 112 million page impressions recorded.

2000 was not just a busy year for CricInfo in terms of traffic. The CricInfo network of web sites continued to grow and now includes the official sites of eight out of the ten Test match playing countries, including ECB.co.uk and baggygreen.com.au.

CricInfo continued to grow as a business throughout 2000. In May Satyam Infoway (NASDAQ: SIFY), India's leading internet services and ecommerce company, acquired a 25% stake in the company and new offices were opened in New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. CricInfo now employs in excess of 150 people globally, with the company's headquarters in the UK and the largest office in Chennai, India.

Live audio commentary was broadcast on the internet from England's Test series with West Indies and England versus Pakistan. Live audio and video coverage was available for South Africa's tour of Sri Lanka and for every match from the CricInfo Women's World Cup, the company's first sponsorship of a major international event. Ball-by-ball scorecards are now available for every first class match taking place around the world.

Peter Griffiths, CricInfo's Managing Director said: "2000 was a very successful year for CricInfo both in terms of site traffic and in growth of the business as a whole. The investment by Satyam Infoway has allowed us to extend the services we offer and to provide a solid basis for future growth."

"2000 was a year of great change and development for CricInfo, and 2001 looks likely to be even more exciting with new partnerships, new products and ever increasing opportunities for our advertisers and sponsors."
