Prize-money

The £105,000 that Surrey made from winning the PPP healthcare County Championship enabled them to top the domestic cricket prize-money list for the second season in succession, in spite of Gloucestershire claiming all three one-day titles. Winning £177,200 and £176,700 respectively, the two clubs surpassed the previous record of £172,990 set by Lancashire in 1998. Lancashire's £100,200 raised their winnings to £597,690 since 1995.
