Israel Cricket Association

October 6, 2008

Kapila took 3 for 23 to reduce Ramla to 109 in the ICA Cup final played at Hadar Yosef last weekend, before Shalom Rubin (33*) and Eshkol Solomon (34*) knocked off the runs to complete the easiest of victories for Lions.

In league action, Be'er Sheva A almost guranteed themselves promotion to Division 1, defeating closest rivals Lod Petah Tikva by 1 wicket in Be'er Sheva. Sri Lanka defeated Lions Be'er Sheva by 57 runs.

In Division 1 action, Des Moss and Gerrit Grundling shared 5 wickets between them to reduce Neve Yonatan to 13 for 5, as Ra'anana 1 easily won by 98 runs. Having been asked to bat, David Silver (54), Grundling (39) and Adrian Vard (46*) led a strong Ra'anana batting performance to set Neve Yonatan 226 to win.
